Well, if you are a member of my family or a friend or see my facebook posts, you already know that we’re expecting our fourth baby. Yes, that’s more babies than a lot of couples have, but no, I don’t think that’s anywhere near Duggar family numbers! It is exciting and quite a bit overwhelming to think that by April 2011, we’ll have four children five and under. Are we crazy? Probably. But, we also knew that we wanted our children to be close in age (T. mostly wanted to get them all out of the baby/crying/not communicating with words/crying stage as soon as possible). Henry and Ivy will only be a year apart in school, and E. Belle and this new one will probably be a year apart as well, but that could be good, right? I know it’ll be good when Miss Ivy goes off to preschool and Henry to kindergarten while I stay home with Miss Belle and the newborn!
Speaking of, Henry starts preschool on Monday. It doesn’t seem possible, but he’s also more than ready. We went to his classroom and met his teacher last Monday, and he immediately made himself at home (literally).
Baby Belle even got in on the action “bobbing for apples”.
By far, Henry’s favorite part of the night was finding the costume box. He is quite the theatric, and regularly dresses up as different monsters/pirates/ghosts/whatever at home. The outfit he’s worn about 90% of the last month is his white tuxedo jacket from our reception with khaki pants and whatever hat he can find. The only reason he’s not wearing it now is because I finally got the jacket down to the laundry. By far, his favorite holiday is Halloween. Anyway, this was at his school…
Oh, and by the way, his 5th birthday is coming up. If anybody’s looking for ideas, he would LOVE costumes or clothes to pretend in. Nothing too scary, but honestly, he’s been wearing his skeleton costume from last Halloween all year, and it’s gotten so small that the bones aren’t really in the right place anymore.
So anyway, just a couple more days and my little boy is off to school. I can hardly believe it, but he’s going to have so much fun.
Oh, and one other piece of excited news! I’m about to give birth to another jewelry daughter! Okay, that sounds a little gross, but she has her training show in September, and we’re both very excited to get her started! She’s going from a full-time job away from home to staying at home with her family. Isn’t that awesome?! This business is the best. Good luck, K!
Now I’m going to go take a nap. (Just kidding–I’m just daydreaming now about precious, precious sleep).
