I just had some excitement on both the professional AND personal fronts, and I had to share!

First, Baby Belle (known recently as “Stinker Belle”) pulled herself up in her crib while I was talking on the phone. And then she started bouncing, which made me laugh (of course). I had to pause my conversation, laugh some more, and then get off the phone and take a picture.

And of course, I then had to move her crib mattress down so she couldn’t somehow pitch herself over the edge while she was SUPPOSED to be taking a nap. I did that, by myself (big ol’ pain in the butt) and then she promptly got her little thighs stuck in the crib bars. It’s hard being a big girl.

And just a random side note: why do they even put the middle settings on cribs? I can’t remember…maybe with the first child I moved the mattress down one setting at a time. This time, there’s NO WAY I’m doing it again, so the mattress has gone straight from the highest setting to the very lowest setting. End of story.

Then, when I was done doing that, I checked my phone and found a very exciting email: I am getting an award for being in the Top 5% of jewelers!! Holy cow! I kind of expect them to realize that they made a mistake, but for now, I’m basking in the glow of over-achievement. Ha! And by the way, I sincerely appreciate all of the ladies who have held shows or ordered from me in the last five months. It’s all because of you!

And…I don’t want to jump the gun, but I’m sort of being a big dork about something. There’s a gal who is in the process of (possibly) becoming my first jeweler. I’m very excited to not only work with her, but get to hang out with her sometimes. Have you ever seen a group of friends and just thought…wow, I wish I was their friend, too? Yep, that’s me: Big Dork.
