It’s getting late, but I haven’t posted anything for a while. Plus, I’m watching some reality TV (I won’t name names) so I can’t go to bed yet anyway.
Can you believe we had snow last weekend, on the first day of spring?! Actually, I CAN, because it was almost exactly a year ago (a couple of weeks later in March, though), that T. and I had our better-late-than-never wedding reception and an awful snow storm on the very same weekend! A LOT of our guests couldn’t make it to Topeka for our party, so yes….snow in March is burned firmly in my mind. But I digress….
The snow made for a challenging weekend of traveling to jewelry shows, but with only a couple of sliding stops here and there, I made it! And they were fun, just like I knew they would be. I’m excited for all of my hostesses to get their free jewelry! That’s one of the best things about my job.
This coming weekend, I have a jewelry show extravaganza in Arkansas! Right after Christmas, only a couple of weeks after I became a jeweler, I had two shows down there. I booked several shows from those two, so I have four shows this weekend–woo hoo! It’ll be a few days FULL of jewelry, and the kids get to hang out with their Arkansas grandparents all weekend, so they’re super excited. Poor T. will have to figure out what to do with the peace and quiet. No, I think he’ll miss us, but he’s going to get the remote all to himself for four days! He won’t have to watch Scooby Doo or Project Runway or American Idol…unless he wants to.
Good luck at your shows!! And enjoy your much deserved quiet time!
