I realize that this is way late, but somehow, the loooong weekend really got away from me. Anybody else? Also: JULY! EEK!
June 30
I ran my first “long run” outdoors for the half marathon training (I’m usually on my treadmill during the week). The weather this past week was really nice and completely un-mid-summer-like, and the breeze was divine. Later that day, we had our big girls’ outing.
July 1
We didn’t have anything planned, and like I said, the weather was great. So there was a lot of playing outside (and pigtails).
July 2
For being home together all week, there was a remarkable amount of peace between the siblings.
And more playing (and coloring) outside.
July 3
The kids went to hang out with my mom for a while, and they had some lazy time there (for a nice change). Also, SWOON. (Photo courtesy of my mom)
July 4
The fourth of July! It was really low key at our house, and we didn’t go anywhere. But my parents came over and we lit (small) fireworks and ate ice cream sundaes and bomb pops. Everybody had a good time, and no one got scared!
July 5
Then another lazy day outside, except this time, daddy stayed home from work.
July 6
This is how I spend every morning….trying not to let Erv drink ALL of my coffee. The big three went with T to see Despicable Me 2, so this is the only picture I have. But, I think he’s pretty cute. (See also: CHEEKS)
I’m grateful for these few lazy weeks we’ve had, because the next few before school starts again are going to be full of swimming lessons, traveling to grandparents’ houses, and birthday parties.
I always try to enjoy the lazy days as much as I can because when it gets busy, it gets busy. Can't believe Erv wants to drink your coffee already! 🙂
Your photos look like summertime. 🙂
I love those lazy days, too. Because the busy days are just around the corner again.
So fun! Pigtails look good on you.
The dude is already loving coffee?! Awesome. 🙂
Love all of these photo's. Looks like an incredible week!!
