I’ve seen people talking about their families going to see and ride on Thomas for at least a couple of years, and have always wished I could take mine. All of our kids have grown up with Thomas the Tank Engine, so we’ve been fans for a good, solid nine years. Henry still has a blanket with the train that his grandma made him, and we have a huge collection of trains and train tracks that are both hand-me-downs and new. So I was really excited when the opportunity came up for me to get a set of tickets and one to give away!

The weather started out pretty soggy for it, and there was light rain for a little while, but by the time we were done playing at the Imagination Station, the rain was done and there was only a nice breeze left.

There really was a lot to do there….we could’ve gone a couple of hours earlier and done a lot more. But well, I was on my own and a certain four year old had an attitude before we left. BUT, we did get to do and see a lot and the kids had a blast.

Watched a video (we missed storytime)…

Got balloon art (Erv asked for a “sword-shaped balloon”)…

But the highlight, of course, was seeing and riding Thomas the Tank Engine. It was 25 minutes, relaxing and very cool. Especially for a certain little dude:

It really was a lot of fun and I’m glad we got the chance to go before everybody got too old.

Thomas the Tank Engine is making his way around the US and Canada this year for the 20th year, and if you’ve got a little person in your family that loves him, definitely try to go see him.
