Labor Day threw a wrench in my posting on time streak of…one week.
Aug. 24
We had a pretty lazy day a couple of Sundays ago. Apparently, Louise and I were waiting on Erv to finish his hour-long breakfast.

Falling asleep on the ten minute drive home from school drop-off.

An outfit I would totally wear myself.

Louise. In black and white.
And a grumpy boy who got in a slightly better mood after some lunch on the town.
Aug. 28
A quick stop at the library and a shower in the water fountain.

I had to work in the morning, so Erv went to hang out with his cousin. There was aquarium entertainment, which is way better than at home.

We spent Labor Day in NW Arkansas. During a visit to Natural Dam, we found out that Louise can swim! That doesn’t mean she likes to, though.
And if you’re ever in Springdale, AR, I highly recommend Angus Jacks. They’re got a great gluten free menu (including fried pickles and onion rings), and they don’t charge extra for making something gluten free. Unheard of! (I had a bbq hamburger with fried pickles and sweet potato fries)

We spent Saturday doing allllll kinds of stuff. I roller skated with the girls:
Then met the boys at a family fun place with go karts, mini golf, and boats that squirt water (what are they called??):
And then we took the kids to their first baseball game, watching the Arkansas Naturals (they lost).
But, they kids did get to run the bases after (at least, the ones that stayed awake)…that’s my mom between third and home, pointing at the camera, walking with Erv in gray and Ivy in white).
Fun week! I love that Louise knows how to swim – she's so cute!
Your photos in my Instagram feed always bring a smile to my face. Inquiring minds want to know… can you roller skate in a rink with REAL skates these days, or are rollerblades the only option now?
