My kids went back to school last Wednesday, and it was the most uneventful first few days of school in my (albeit short) back to school history.
There were no tears. Essie and I walked the big two into the gym and found their classes grouped together, lining up, and then we walked back over to the cafeteria where the wee little kindergartners were waiting in a long line.
Essie had told me that she didn’t want me to stay with her, but I did. She wasn’t pushing me out, and I couldn’t tear myself away. But like I said….no tears. Even from me. (My eyes may have gotten a touch cloudy in the car, though. Maybe.)
The second day, we walked the big two into the gym again, for the last time, and I held the kindergartner’s hand as we walked into the cafeteria, and I waved goodbye as I left her there with her class, smiling.
So now, I guess it’s official….we have a kindergartner, a second grader, and a third grader.
They are so cute!!
THIRD GRADER?? Dear god, where did time go?
They are beyond adorable! I am so glad that everything was uneventful, and fabulous!
Whoa. They are all growing too fast.
Mine started last Wednesday too. And I sorta felt a little sad that ours was uneventful too. But definitely glad that there was no embarassment of any kind. Ha.
The little toddler misses his sisters though and asks for them all day. 🙁 I sorta miss them too. Sorta. 😉
Man, they are cute! Sounds like they've had a great start. YAY! 😀
