It’s been a very holiday week around here! Lots and lots of Christmas celebrating. Lots.
Dec 22
Sunday was Christmas at Nana and Papa’s house, with most of the relatives in Arkansas.
Dec 23
On Monday, I had lunch with my AR BFF (and didn’t take a picture, sheesh), then we went to Nana’s house, and finally, Erv, hubs and I had dinner with my little brother and his wife.
Dec 24
On Christmas Eve, we drove home from AR (and ate lunch with another girl friend and her baby!) and went straight to the candlelight service at church. Erv was in the nursery for most of it, but we brought him out at the end for the candles.
And then we came home and changed into new Christmas jammies.
Dec 25
Christmas day! We were at home all day, and didn’t do a lot besides the opening of presents and eating of food.
Dec 26
I like to do after-Christmas clearance shopping, and even though things were really picked over, Erv and I had a good time. And got ice cream afterwards.
And then we had Christmas with my maternal grandparents at a community center (aka a great place for roller skates).
Dec 27
I’m starting a new photo project for 2014, in which I’ll be posting pictures taken with my big girl camera every Thursday. Basically, it’s a self-improvement project for photography. I took several pictures for that on Friday.
Dec 28
We had my parents, siblings, and their kids over for our Christmas, and then we headed to the other end of Kansas to stay with my in-laws for a few days. There might possibly be some videos of several of us playing Just Dance at our house. Whatever, it was fun.
I guess, technically, the year is over for Project 365, with week 52…just a few days left in 2013. I can’t believe I’ve successfully posted every week (with just one or two actually published late) two years in a row. I love having this snapshot for myself, so I’m thinking I’ll do it again in 2014….and hopefully, my pictures will continue to improve!
I love the kids in their Christmas jammies!!
I can't believe you managed 2 whole years of 365 – go you!
I know, it's kind of amazing, right?! And now it's totally habit. On to 2014!
I love the jammies! They are fantastic! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
And the kids love them, they're comfy! They've worn them a lot since Christmas Eve. Ha!
Those Christmas jammies are great!
They're cute, aren't they?!
Arkansas? Really? I'm from Arkansas (originally)! Too cool!
Yep! I went to high school and college in and around Fayetteville, and still have lots of family living in the area.
Awesome! I'm from Morrilton, and went to college in Conway. 🙂
Yay for a successful Project 365 – I love all your holiday pics, especially the pj ones!!! I may take a page out of your book and do a "big girl camera" photo project myself – it'll force me to go out and use the camera especially since I'll be working full-time! Can't wait to see how it goes for you! Good luck and happy new year!!! 🙂
Thanks, Susi! Good luck to you, as well, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I have to get Christmas jammies for my whole family next year (I know it sounds a little creepy and probably won't look that great on my husband and me, but I love the thought of us lounging around in our xmas jammies on Christmas).
I can't wait to see all your pictures in your new project!
Happy New Year to you, my friend!
I HAVE to see you in matching jammies. MUST. Thank you! Many, many more pictures to come. Ha!
I cannot fully express my love for the jammies. So cute!
Sounds like a fun and busy holiday!
Beautiful! Looks like such a great time =)
