Hello! If you’re stopping by from SITS Girls today, I want to say thanks for coming by, and welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
If this is your first time here at GFunkified, I hope you brought your sassy pants.
I’m a stay at home mom of four, and I live out in the country in Kansas, surrounded by corn fields, and you know….cows.
I’m the co-host of a weekly link-up called #iPPP, or iPhone Photo Phun. Come back on Tuesday nights and join us…all you need is a post with a phone picture in it (it doesn’t have to be from an iPhone, though…I don’t have one.) We always have a great group of bloggers, both loyal and new, and everyone is welcome!
We’re a gluten free household here, because my four year old daughter has Celiac Disease and my six year old daughter and I are gluten-intolerant. Sometimes I talk about my struggles with it, and sometimes I share my favorite meals and recipes.
I was a proud speaker at Listen To Your Mother this past spring, and I told my story about what it’s like being a widowed mother.Β (Cliffs Notes version: it’s not easy)
Oh, and I’m a runner. I trained for and finished my first half marathon in September, and since then, I’ve been working hard to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training, with whom I’ll run my second half in January, the Walt Disney World Half Marathon. I also set and reached a goal of 500 miles this year,Β so that was a pretty big deal for me.
If you’re so inclined, I’d love you to come by and see me on my Facebook pageΒ or Twitter, or my true love, Instagram.
(I don’t take myself too seriously, so you don’t have to either)
I hope you’ll take a look around and introduce yourself, tell me a little bit about your blog so I can come by and see you, too! I’ll bring the coffee and gluten free muffins.
Hi Greta,
I am gluten-intolerant, too! So it's a pleasure to find your website. Hope you receive many lovely visitors today. π
Visiting from SITS…Congratulations on being the featured (inspirational) blogger! I'm gluten-free by choice and also a runner, by choice! Did my first 1/2-marathon when my husband and I were first separated. Something about running that makes you feel you can conquer the world.
So glad you're featured on SITS! Such a great blog you have going. Keep up the good work!
Yay for your SITS Day, Greta! Enjoy all the deserved love. xo

Excellent post and I really like your blog. You tell it like it is with no fluff and frills. I enjoy that style of writing. Your four little tornados must keep you extremely busy. I don't know how you do it all and still look amazing. Have a blessed day!
Greta, I learned some things I didn't know about you from reading this post. Happy SITS day, friend.

And what beautiful children you have. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your posts, and pictures.
Congratulations on your SITS day. I hope it’s a fabulous day for you.
That picture of you and your kids in front of the tree is awesome. I love your non-expression. But I kind of got stuck looking at the tree. That looks like the most wonderful climbing tree ever! I’m thinking if it were in my yard I’d be climbing it on a regular basis — and I am long past the age or physique to climb trees. But it’s just so great.
Happy SITS day! And kudos to you for having all young kids, woo!
Yay! Happy Happy SITS Day π
Good to meet you. I will definitely be stopping by for gluten free ideas!!

Hi Greta!
I'm stopping over from Sits! I have to say, I already LOVE your blog. I feel like we would get along great if we knew each other in real life (not that we wouldn't on here ha-ha) You seem like a fun-loving and super cool mom! Your children are beautiful as well.
