Do you ever have those weeks when your kids are just…..awful?? Like, you talk and talk and talk and nothing is being heard? Yeah. That.

World Run Day! It was actually a really mild night, and my mom and I went to the track to run our 5K. This was the second time we signed up for it, but last year, we had to finish on the treadmill because we took all of the kids to the track with us….it was cold and they complained so much that we just loaded them up and came home. This time, we put them to bed first.

The giggle monster that was ALL UP IN MY BUSINESS all afternoon.

I was in a foul mood all morning, from kids not listening and not eating breakfast and not getting dressed for school. I didn’t really feel like going to help in the preschool class, but I was scheduled to, so I did. And all of their dancing and singing and booty-shaking turned my whole mood around! There’s not a whole lot better than seeing that.

Wednesday was an especially rough day. I took this picture while I was in the bathroom, getting away from the two year and taking a few deep breaths before I dragged him to story time (which he loves once he gets there). So. Much. Whining. Also, I really liked my outfit.

These two either get along or they DON’T. This time, they were….coloring together and everything. (With a cat on duty, of course)
Ivy is on a first grade basketball team, and Thursday was her first practice.

Friday night dance party featuring Flogging Molly.

I took Ivy to Girl Scouts and then left for a glorious afternoon all to MYSELF. I went to the salon and Target and Starbucks and everything.
Linking up with Focus on Mom!
Yay for you getting time to yourself. Love your hair, and your outfit too!
Oh dear…
And here I thought I was all alone in the world hiding from my children… I have 2 boys – a 2 year old & a 9 month old. And no plans of having anymore. I didn't get baby fever after either. I originally wanted just one, but now that I have them both, I love every second of it!
Glad to see you continue to be in one piece & everyone is still alive & well, even if not all there 😉
xoxo
What a busy week! I love having afternoons to myself to go and get my hair did!
P.S. I loved that outfit on you too!
I know those days. I'm currently having one of those days. But MAN do you look awesome in that outfit pic and post-salon with your holiday cup. 🙂
I love your hair and your outfit and everything. You are inspiring me to pick up the phone and MAKE. AN. APPOINTMENT.
Yay coffee!
We only get Ewan every other week, but some weeks he is just in a MOOD and he's impossible to deal with. I'm glad you took some time to yourself! I will hide in the bedroom some nights, hehe.
Your afternoon alone sounds heavenly. And that giggle face – too adorable. There is nothing better than a child's infectious laughter to brighten your mood – I just mentioned that this morning at work when a few girls came in giggling hysterically – three-year-olds are funny. 🙂
