We had quite the week, ushering out October (No! Come back!).
Oct. 27
Loooong fun day on Sunday, that included a “Kitty Cat Crawl” family fun walk (a one mile walk with a scavenger hunt and stations that turned the kids into cats), and then a visit to a pumpkin patch.
Oct. 28
The kids didn’t have school Monday. It was a nice day. There were shenanigans.
Oct. 29
Crazy sock day for Drug-Free Week.
Preschool pickup with these two is one of my favorite times of the day.
Oct. 30
I took the kids’ Halloween costumes out so they’d be ready for school the next day. Erv saw his and INSISTED on wearing it for the rest of the day. Also, my favorite profile, and bedhead!
Oct. 31
Halloween! We had a long, fun day.
Nov. 1
Our 5th wedding anniversary, and the kids didn’t have school (again) so we celebrated Henry’s birthday at Great Wolf Lodge. Of course.
Nov. 2
The visit ended with a pretty gnarly stomach virus from the toddler, so he and I skipped the swimming and waited for the big kids to have fun in the waterpark before heading home. If I never see another diarrhea diaper, it’ll be too soon.
My goodness, that is a lot of stuff crammed into a week. 🙂
Sorry about the sickies, hope everyone's on the mend!
Getting there, fingers crossed! And oh my gosh, so much stuff. It was like, Hey! Halloween is almost here, we have to cram all the fall stuff in before it goes away! And we did. HA.
Greta, I always love seeing your photos. Those four on the porch swing is framable quality. I got nothing of that quality of my own kiddos this year, unfortunately. Too many distractions, too many "extras" in every photo, too many silly faces …
Aw, I kind of love the silly faces! I bet yours are adorable. But I understand the frustration. I just force my kids to "practice"….A LOT. 😀
OH we have the stomach bug running through here right now. Gene and I had it yesterday and he is finishing his out and now our 2 younger boys have it.. I have been sanitizing like mad.. It is bad when I can't even drink coffee because it made me so sick..
It's TERRIBLE when you can't drink coffee…especially when the kids getting sick keeps you up all night! I hope you all get rid of it SOON!
Busiest week ever! But looks super fun. Hope your littlest man is feeling better. The crazy sock pic is my fav. Their little personalities are just shining through.
I love that picture, too! Erv is doing a tiny bit better. He's happy, mostly, just filling his pants still. Ugh. But other than that, the week was great!
Oh yes, I remember those diarrhea diapers. No fun. But it looks like your week was good nonetheless. There seems to be a nasty stomach virus going around these parts – one school had to be closed down it got so bad. So far it hasn't reached us and I do hope that it will stay away.
Oh my gosh, I hope you don't get hit! It's only been really bad for Erv. Hopefully, it'll pass soon. Literally! But other than that, yes, it was a great week!
Your kids are gorgeous! Also? I cannot BELIEVE that they are out jumping on the trampoline with t-shirts on. WHAT?! I can't wrap my head around that as my outdoor temperature is currently hovering around freezing.
I know! It's been mostly really nice, with a couple of rain storms here and there. The weather has threatened to get cold, but so far, so good! I'm loving it. Thanks, Laura!
Awww fun week!
It was fun! Busy, but fun!
I bet!
I would LOVE to go to Great Wolf Lodge!! Looks like such a fun time.
You three would have SO much fun, Leighann!
You always get such cute shots of your kids, how do you do it? These are all great! You need to make an album of Instapics of them, or you've probably already done that, huh? 😉
Thank you, Elaine! I thought it was so funny that you said it, and my iPPP was already going to be on just that topic. 😉 I've worn them down!!
I always love every picture, but I think crazy sock day is my favorite this week. And I so want to go to Great Wolf Lodge again – we went when Brinky was a baby and haven't had a chance to go back! But I'd prefer to enjoy it without diarrhea diapers 🙂
Crazy sock day is cute, right?!
And yes….go to GWL….but leave the diarrhea diapers AT HOME.
Hope that everyone is feeling better soon.
Great shots as always, Greta! 🙂
Why does one kid always need to get sick on vacation or right before hand? It's like their body knows planned fun is ahead and wants to torture poor mothers everywhere!
