I can’t really begin to put into words what Fitcation was like. People keep asking what it was, and I can’t really describe it. It wasn’t a conference, exactly, because there were no sessions. It’s kind of like a retreat, but the events, activities and meals were sponsored. The website says that it’s a “healthy vacation” for bloggers. It was like a vacation where someone else has done all of the planning and work for you (which really, is the way to go).
I’m going to write a lot more about it, but tonight I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures/moments from the trip while I’m still decompressing.
We visited the Hearst Castle, which was so interesting, and an incredible display of excess. I finally got a picture with my two roommates, Karen and Jeanae, in front of the amazing view of the central coast of California.
I had never been to CA, or the west coast for that matter. But, we went to the beach on Saturday afternoon, and I just took it all in. (This first picture was taken by Pamela while I wasn’t paying attention, and the second was taken by Kristin after we got done doing yoga. On the beach. BLISS.)
On my first winery visit ever, Karen and I stopped to take a picture under the canopy of grapes. (The grapes? So delicious.) This photo wasn’t filtered at all….it was a beautiful, sunny day.
This was also at Hearst Castle, by the indoor pool (which was my favorite part of the whole place). Just bloggers doing what they do best.
I really had an amazing time, despite the two hour time difference, and I can’t wait to tell you more details about it. For now, I need a nap.
*This is not my “official” Fitcation recap, and it doesn’t fulfill the contractual obligations…that will come later. But, just so you know, the cost of activities and events on this trip were defrayed by sponsors, and I received free swag. As always, all opinions are my own.

I kind of feel like I can't go back to planning my own vacations now. 🙂

That looks like so much fun. I LOVE the photo of you standing on the rocks. Awesome.
Isn't it? I love that she took that picture. I was standing there, just staring for like, five minutes. And yeah….SO MUCH FUN.
Sounds like an amazing trip, and the pictures are great! I love the one of you looking out at the waves. Yoga on the beach sounds fabulous. I hope it was relaxing!

Ah, next time! I didn't know you were so close! I can't imagine living in such a beautiful place.
This sounds so amazing and those grapes, I bet they end up being really good wine!
Oh, they were so good. I didn't expect them to be so sweet. But yes….they made good wine!
I miss that trip already!!!!
It looks so beautiful – and relaxing! I've only been to California once (for a school science trip because obviously I'm cool) and never to the beach.
