Let’s see…what did I do this week? I slept a lot, and coughed a lot, then went out of town and barely finished my first half marathon.
Sept. 8
Sunday night, I was starting to feel sick, and was trying to have a quiet evening. But Erv took a long, late nap and wasn’t ready for bed when the other three went. So, while I tried to watch Downton Abbey, he made super loud train sounds by my face.
Sept. 9
I let my LTYM friend and co-reader Julie borrow some baby equipment for her musical “Mother#$%@hood” and was too lazy to put it all back away after I brought it home. Who knew a Bumbo was so popular with the older kids?
Sept. 10
This was the only picture I took. I was home sick all day with Erv, Essie, and a sick Ivy, and slept most of the day. And went to bed early with the cats.
Sept. 11
Essie enjoys the big sister role…it’s drastically different than the little sister role she plays most of the time. This was when she was “reading” a story to her little brother. (And no, the baby equipment was still not put away)
Sept. 12
Me and the boy, we go to school and pick up his littlest big sister every day. I don’t know what it is about the grass and sidewalk, but he loves that few minutes of waiting.
Sept. 13
It was actually a really pretty day, so even though I had to get ready to leave, we hung out outside for a little while after preschool.
Then my mom and I drove to Wichita, a couple of hours away, and met my friend Liz so we could stay over and do the See Jane Run 5K (my mom) and half marathon (Liz and I) on Saturday morning. My mom took this before dinner.
Sept. 14
This was early Saturday morning, before the race. I’ll share the rest of my experience this week.
So sorry you had the sickies. But so stinking proud of you for doing the half-marathon!
Hope you are feeling much better now…sickies in the summer is no fair!
Glad last week is over and done with… now onto a healthier week!
