It’s time for another round of Old School Blogging, and you know me….I like to answer questions about myself. Join up with Elaine and Jennifer to play along!
A. Attached or Single? Very much attached, to this cutie:
B. Best Friend? My best friend is (unfortunately for me) a Texan at heart, and moved back there this spring. You probably know her as Mama Mash.
C. Cake or pie? If it’s dessert, I’ll eat it. So, to answer the question….cake THEN pie.
D. Day of choice? I do love a good, lazy Sunday.
E. Essential Item? My phone. And chapstick. And baby wipes (for anything and everything). I don’t leave home without any of those things.
F. Favorite color? Hot pink, baby!
G. Gummy bears or worms? I always feel a touch vulgur, biting and pulling the worms, so I’ll go with bears.
H. Hometown? Small town, Kansas, about 20 minutes from where we live now.
I. Favorite Indulgence? Anything gooey, chocolaty, rich, and creamy. In other words, anything that makes My FItness Pal spit out its drink when I put enter it.
J. January or July? That’s tough. I prefer April or October. I guess if I had to choose, I’d go with July. It’s the month for both of the girls’ birthdays, and lazy summer days.
K. Kids? Even if you just came across this site looking for lyrics to a 70s disco hit, you probably know the answer to that. Yes, I have four.
L. Life isn’t complete without? Those four, coffee, that guy in the first question.
M. Marriage date? November 1, 2008.
N. Number of brothers/sisters? I grew up with three brothers, two are still living. And I’m lucky enough to have three amazing sisters-in-law.
O. Oranges or Apples. I love a good Pink Lady. And also apples.
P. Phobias? Scorpions. Falling.
Q. Quotes? Sure, I like them. HA. My brain is fuzzy….pick a good one for me.
R. Reasons to smile? I’ve got four of them up there, and also candy, a car that takes us where we want to go, and a husband that works hard for our money.
S. Season of choice? Fall or Spring. Or the spring-like summer that we’re having now.
T. Tag 5 People. Angela, Kristi, Leighann, Laura, and Sarah.
U. Unknown fact about me? Oh, gosh. There’s not a lot that I haven’t talked about here…Um. My parents almost named me Brett, after George Brett, because I was born while the Royals were playing in the World Series. When I was in late elementary school/middle school, I really wanted to change my name to Brett.
V. Vegetable? I love anything roasted…cauliflower, asparagus, brussel sprouts. I’ve learned to love most of them.
W. Worst habit? Hmmmm…I don’t bite my nails, but I tear them. I also snack at night too much. I yell….A LOT.
X. Xray or Ultrasound? Ultrasounds are much more likely to be a positive experience, but since I’m not having any more kids, I may want to choose an Xray at this point.
Y. Your favorite food? THAT’S a tough one. I love food, lots of it. Pizza, dessert, CHEESE, chips and dip, sushi, chocolate covered strawberries, ice cream sundaes, CHEESE.
Z. Zodiac sign? I’m a Libra, through and through. I dare you to try to get me to make a decision.
Oh boy!! I'm not an open book yet?? Ok honey, you're on!
Woohoo! Can't wait to read it!
I love roasted asparagus, but I haven't roasted any other vegetables. And I am a late-night snacker, too!
Oh, every vegetable I've roasted? SO GOOD. And why do snacks taste so much better at night??
Aw, Brett. I love you. Miss you lots – and yeah, you're a total Libra. 🙂
Sigh. I miss you. 🙁 I'm a total libra, aren't I? Yeah. Yeah, I am.
Oh my gosh, your answer to C is THE best! Why didn't I think of that?
And I've been stung by a scorpion, three times (same one). Yeah, ouch!
When we lived in AR, my little brother was stung by one that was hanging out in his shoe. I only saw one the whole time we were there, on the wall. I FREAKED OUT.
I'm a Libra, love pizza, lived in small town Kansas part of my life and snack too much after dark!
We'd get along great (unless someone asked us to make a decision)! 😉
Cake then pie? My kind of girl.
Right?! Why choose??
thank you so much for the tag Greta! I was about to do this and then thought… mmmm, maybe I'll hold off. You are the push I needed.
I love learning all of these things about you.
You are the same sign as my husband!!
Then we'd get along great! I loved your answers, too!
Okay this – "Even if you just came across this site looking for lyrics to a 70s disco hit, you probably know the answer to that. " made me snort.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that laughed at that. 😀
I liked this one much better cause I was able to say SINGLE and skip of the wedding date thing. I don't think I'll ever get married at this point lol.
Aw, it's not so bad. 😉
Eh I was done with relationships, that has changed 😉
Haha…cake then pie is a great choice.
I love any lazy day.
Gooey, chocolatey, rich and creamy sounds perfect to me.
Pink Lady apples are my husband’s favorite too – tasty.
I like CHEESE too 🙂
Mmmmm…reading this comment again is making me crave something/anything. Must be almost bedtime. 😀
Cheese is a great thing.
And your kiddos? My gosh!
Thanks, Jen! Seriously, I could eat cheese all. dang. day.
[…] sweet and adorable Greta, from GFunkified tagged me in the following post, so I am doing my part and linking up with Elaine and Jennifer this […]
Pink here too! And chapstick and my phone. And gooey chocolate. Want to go for dessert with me?
Isn't pink a glorious color?! And YES. Dessert, now.
I laughed out loud about My Fitness Pal spitting out it's drink.
And I got stung by a scorpion once. NOT fun.
Ha! Thanks. I laugh at my own jokes, so it makes me happy when other people laugh, too. 😀
I can't even THINK about scorpions. Maybe that's why I didn't stay in AR very long…
Oh my gosh all these scorpions stories! I have never even considered scorpions before. Now I have a new phobia!!! I have a huge night snacking problem. I need to fix it asap.
Sorry! I've only seen one once in real life, when I lived in the south, but my little brother was stung by one. I don't know where the phobia came from but NO THANK YOU!
Oh yes – a car (especially when with kids) is a huge reason to smile. I forgot about that.
YES. And for me, it's also a car that will fit four kids. 🙂
Hahaha love your list, lady!
Especially the Fitness Pal part hahaaha. Brilliant.
Thanks, Maureen. I crack myself up sometimes. 😀
I'm pretty sure if you're name was Brett we'd have a problem. Love your list and gorgeous kids! 😉
Is that your husband's name or something? Ha! Thanks, Adrienne!
