Welcome to #iPPP! Sarah at The Sunday Spill and I want to see your funny, your yummy, your heartfelt, your favorite phone photos of the week. All you need is a blog post containing at least one photo from any phone camera. Link up below!
Remember all of that snow that had the kids home for the better part of two weeks? Well, apparently, it’s now March 5 and I’m flailing. I had planned to have Erv’s 2nd birthday party on the 16th. Ordered the supplies, set out the invitations. Never actually filled them out and mailed them. So now it’s 10 days before and it’s too late. And there may or may not be snow on the ground and I want the kids to be outside some. And I’ll be in Dallas for Blissdom the weekend of his actual birthday. And I’m probably still in denial about the whole thing anyway. Sooo. Easter weekend it is? CRAP. Lovely. Back to Plan A. Better get my butt in gear then.
Plus, there’s this thing called Listen To Your Mother and I submitted a piece. I have an audition on Thursday night. I’m freaking out a little. Partly because, hello, public speaking (even in front of just two people) and partly because of my husband’s schedule that day. I may not make the cut, of course. And that’s fine, at least I will have tried, right?
And Blissdom is a whole other stressor, all by itself. And with two three-day school weeks now for the kids in a row? I feel like I’ve lost all control of the next ten days, and then some.
So that’s (part of) where my swimming, floating, stressed out head is right now. Does this post make any sense? No, not really. But here are a few pictures for you to enjoy! (the first one is from my camera but the other two are phone pictures)

I’m linking this up with Cluttered Genius for her Moments of Genius post. Because obviously I was having one when I neglected to send the invitations.
I get scared speaking in public too. Nothing a little ativan and wine can't help. though 🙂 Love the Star Wars helmet, I want a grown up size one…
Birthdays and Blissdom – sounds like a busy time! It will all get done, though – it always does. How exciting that you are auditioning for LTYM. It can be daunting to speak in front of people, but I am sure that once you get started, all will just flow. I am sure you will find some fun in all the busy of the coming days. 🙂
I totally know the feeling. I'm completely overwhelmed right and paralyzed from having too much to do..of course, we dont' have snow so that's one bonus… 🙂 Don't be scared when you speak, just think of that cutie in those glasses and you'll be relaxed!
You're going to be AWESOME at your audition! Can't wait to hear how it goes. 🙂
I super puffy double heart that last photo. It's close to perfect.
And forget all that other crap (okay, except for your sweet baby's b-day) I cannot WAIT to hug your face off in a couple of weeks!!!!! 😀
I LOVE these pics.
That is a lot of life. Remember to breathe and not worry too much about things that are out of your control. For real. I'm so excited to hear how your audition goes for LTYM. Good for you for doing it. Good luck!!!!
Yes, you make sense! And I bet you're going to be awesome for Listen To Your Mother. I was at a two day work meeting last week – it was crazy – working through the night, only sleeping an hour, but one of the best work experiences I've ever had. But I was so nervous because my group decided I should be the one to speak for us (in front of the president of our company, our parent company, and more) and I am so not a good public speaker at all. But I did it – and our team won 🙂 So hopefully that can be a positive story for you going into your audition! Love Erv's pictures as always – he looks like he's having so much fun.
The only kid I have to worry about being close to a holiday is the baby, who is close to Thanksgiving. Well he is 13 now so technically not a baby lol. but you know what I mean. With that schedule don't forget to just stop and breathe hun.
Greta,
If anyone can do all of this in a short period of time… it's you!
You've got this!
A birthday party? No sweat.. you already have the supplies! The kids won't remember the decorations, but they will remember the friends and your time.
LTYM? YOU were meant to do this! Of course you can do this! Look at everything you've accomplished so far! Go girl!
And Blissdom??? Amazing!
Jump in with both feet, like you have done wtih everything else, and make us proud!!
Look at that boy. Do you think he gives a flying flip about a birthday party? Nope! But I bet he DOES care that his mom stays sane. 🙂 You are going to kick that audition's butt, rock the pants off of Blissdom and Easter? Seriously? Just sit on the couch and eat the ears off all the chocolate bunnies. It helps. 🙂
It'd all fall into place, don't worry.
Good luck tomorrow, you will work it!
Love the pictures, he's such a ham.
Oh my goodness I can't believe he is going to be two!!! I don't know how you have managed with so little days of school and so much snow. You are amazing! Good luck with public speaking! It is one of my least favorite things EVER
Oh, he'd get along just fine with my (just over three-year-old) son
Send an evite! I'm a paper invite person too, but I love the ease of the you got this, Greta. You will rock your audition!
That is a lot going on but all wonderful experiences with Blissdom and LTYM. You will do great at your audition. Love your photos. I always tend to worry so much more about the birthday parties than my kids really care. They just want to sing and have a cupcake.
Where do the days go? Well on the plus side it sounds like you've got some awesome things on the horizon!
THOSE PICTURES WErE TAKEN WITH YOUR PHONE??? wonderful! I need a new phone! NOW. He is so stinkin' cute!
Wow you got a ton going on! Busy mommy =]
