Welcome to #iPPP! Sarah at The Sunday Spill and I want to seeΒ your funny, your yummy, your heartfelt, your favorite phone photos of the week. All you need is a blog post containing at least one photo from any phone camera.Β Link up below!
After bath time is goofy time. When there is drying off to be done, both of us locked in place, planted in the bathroom. No video games, no smart phones, no distractions.
Wet hair is fluffed and spiked, silly jokes are told. The question is asked again, as always: βMama, do you know how to play Minecraft? You should. Itβs a really fun game.β
Hearty laughs, feigned frustration at the lack of drying, jokes. Lots of jokes βMama, can I say fart? Can I say penis?β Belly laughs before I even open my mouth to answer.
With four kids, itβs hard to get one on one time with any of them, especially in the house. This after-bath time has turned into some of the most fun I have all day, and I have my squishy-cheeked, freckle-faced, to-die-for-eyelashed seven year old to thank.

This week, I’m also linking up with Natalie and Jess forΒ Essence of Now and Galit and Alison forΒ Memories CapturedΒ (the last one until June, y’all!).
Belly laughs are the best. My kids still belly laugh about saying "penis"…
I enjoy just being able to send my kids to take their showers now, but bath time was always fun! Brings back good memories π
Nights will probably less harried when there are showers to be had….maybe! Why is penis so funny? WHO KNOWS.
I love the after bath time at our house, too. There is something about that time that is really special; I don't know if it's the water, the laughter, or the day winding down. It's one of my favourite times of the day.
I don't know what it is, either, but it sure brings the sillies out!
Bath time is the best, I always feel like he still looks like a baby in the bath tub.
Yes! They look so small, even the big ones.
I'm past bath time in my house. π My girls take showers now and don't need me around until it is time to blow dry their hair. (And that is the part that I like the least…they have long, thick hair and it takes forever to get it dry!)
How darn cute is Henry with all of those missing teeth?!
I think he's pretty cute. π I always hated drying my hair…still do. I think I always went to bed with it wet.
Ok……CONFESSION….as cute as your little man is and he is TOTALLY CUTE….i am freaked out beyond all reason when it comes to teeth being gone….always have!!!! But I do agree…bath time is the most fun time. At my house, LUke always wants to snuggle after…."COLD!!!" π
That's so weird, Amanda! π It does make the teeth that are still there look all out of place, though.
i love that toothless gaping grin! so cool. my oldest hasn't lost a single tooth yet and I think we're all dying for that next milestone! And I understand about the one on one. SO important. we don't do it enough around here……hahaha. can I say penis???
Oh, I know! Ivy keeps asking when she's going to lose hers, but the dentist said it's usually around 6 1/2. Still a while away. And yes, everybody can say penis!
How many teeth does your son have missing? I bet he was glad when the tooth fairy came! I love bath time too. I love watching my daughter play in the bath and then getting her dressed and snuggly in her pjs too. We giggle and I love doing her hair. Your son is a cutie pie!
Ha! Yes. He's lost six so far. Two of them are grown back, and the last one just came out a few days ago.
Bath time is fun. Heck, I wish I could hang out all day in the bath tub, too!
Seriously Greta every time I see his face I think of my brother and Squints. HE COULD BE MY BROTHER if you put a big pair of glasses on him. SO cute!
That's so funny! I wish I could see a picture!
So cute! And can I tell you missing teeth is a lot cuter at this age than at 14. My dude is STILL losing teeth! Oy.
My post is a Valentine's day post. It's also a #giveaway. If you love gnomes {or know someone who does} feel free to leave me a comment. Not only will I give you a You Tube song, but you'll have a chance to win really cute gnome salt & pepper shakers.

Ha! I think the two front teeth missing is hysterical, and so awkward! But, one of his is still hanging on.
Such sweet pictures. I hope my little boy still lets me bathe him at 7. He still promises he and his wife will live with me, but you know I won't hold him to it π
I don't really get to bathe him anymore. I just pretty much supervise or, at the very least, get him dried and fix his hair. Snort!
My son still says sometimes that he doesn't want to go to college. He'd rather just live at home. π
Aw, dude, he's growing up so quick. Stop it children!
It's nice, to have that fun, goofy, unstructured time. It's needed, isn't it?
It really is! Everything else is so busy, busy, busy.
It looks silly and fun!
Seriously silly. He gets the giggles like nobody's business. π
So sweet. I love one on one time with our kids. Good for you for making it really special.
Also, much to my chagrin, FART is an okay word in this house. Sigh. Blame my husband.
Ha! Fart is technically okay here, but we prefer "toot". Because it's so much classier. Ha!
I tried to push toot. I did. But when my son grabbed hold of "fart" and it stuck. Sigh.
My kids get silly after their bath too, and while it used to frustrate me because it prolonged getting dry and dressed, now it makes me smile. They're just kids being kids. And I love that.
Yep. Just let kids be kids and who KNOWS what will happen. π
I miss bath time π Although, sometimes after my girls are done showering, I wonder if we shouldn't go back to the basics when half their hair is still dry. How does that happen?!
Ha! I know….even in the bathtub, the kids get the back of their hair wet and think they're good. Not quite, children!
Love these photos and memories. Both my girls become clowns after bath!
What is it about the bath? I think the sillies come out of the faucet with the water.
I'm like Amanda, no matter how cute a kid is, the missing teeth freak me out! π I think it's sweet you guys get to hang out for bathtime though!
Well, you'd better get used to it, sister, because Monkey's teeth aren't staying put! π
I was lucky enough to have some alone time outside of the house with my 2 year old today. It's such a rare treat to get them one on one!
It is! No matter what I'm doing, there's always somebody that needs something from me.
What a great picture. I love after-bath time too. My youngest gets out of the tub, gets wrapped up in a towel and says, "mommy snuggle me" and my heart melts. Belly laughs are the best!!
I know! So sweet. And I LIVE for the belly laughs. I think they come out of the faucet with the water. π
I only get this special bath-alone-time with my little one now. The other two are too old and too independent! In some ways I love it, in others not so much! He's adorable, love the toothless smile!!! π
Thanks, Susi! He's already independent enough to bathe himself. I just hang out with him sometimes….make sure he washes his hair and all that. π
Oh my goodness. I love his little teeth! So cute!
He's definitely got that missing-teeth awkward smile right now!
I love all his missing teeth! Bath time is one of my favorite times of the day.
It's so funny every time he loses another one. It makes the rest of them look so out of place. π
Those teeth! Wow. I love it!
I can totally relate to the "fart" jokes. Ha! Love that you are bonding with your little guy this way, so sweet and so needed! π
