Dec. 9
Sunday was the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert with my dad. Before we left, we had a quiet morning of journal-filling and coloring.
Dec.10
Erv’s hair became a Swoop of Fantastic again. (And then I cut it later in the week. But it was fun while it lasted.)
Dec.11
We worked on a Christmas project, which involved Erv painting. And then immediately taking a bath.
Dec.12
I had decided to crochet the girls scarves for the winter, and finally started working on Essie’s. But, I had to relearn how to even start the process, as it’s been, like, two years since I’d last done it (making Erv’s baby blanket before he was born). I messed up my stitches, but before I could try to fix it, Ivy decided to “sew” her own thing and cut off my yarn. I still haven’t picked it up again.
Dec.13
The big two had their Christmas program at school Thursday night. They were both excellent, of course.
Dec. 14
The annual Company Christmas party. At least we got to dress up (which I enjoy, anyway).
Dec. 15
We have some aunts and uncles visiting from AR this weekend. Two of them came on Saturday and brought the kids books for Christmas, then everyone proceeded to climb on the couch together and read them.
A lovely, lovely week for the kids! Erv really got into the painting, didn't he? 🙂
He sure did!
The aunts and uncles are adorable. I'm glad we got to meet them! You're SO lucky to have such cool inlaws. Like, for real. Want to, um, TRADE?
Haha, NO. But thank you.
First of all, you look gorgeous! I know I have told you before but I love the bangs! Second, it looks like a great week or at least you know it is a good week when one has to immediately jump in the bath from having fun. 🙂
Oh, thank you, AnnMarie! Yep, that's definitely an indicator of a good time….getting messy. 🙂
