This weekend, the boy that made me a mom turns SEVEN.
In the last year, he has blossomed into a student.
He has expanded the reach of his imagination to the outer edges of the universe, and beyond.
He tells stories, and asks questions. He reads and reads and reads.
He is energetic, he is ACTIVE. He flies through the yard, yelling out instructions to me and his sisters like our lives depend on the game he’s playing.
He is a rocker, a performer.
I love that he loves that he and I will be dressed as vampires together for his birthday party and Halloween this year. He’s a mama’s boy, through and through.
My wish for you,my oldest boy, is to find and keep your own rhythm. Remember that you can do anything you want to, if you work hard and keep your eyes on the prize.
Happy birthday to my handsome, funny, adventurous, silly, enthusiastic, smart, unique, loving, snuggly, Lego-building SEVEN year old. I love you so much, squishy cheeks.
Happy Birthday Henry. My first baby — now 19 — always had a shark tooth necklace. Though that is some tooth.
Happy Birthday, Henry! Keep rocking!
Happy Birthday Henry. Hope you have an awesome party. I love Vampires!!! 🙂
[…] 0 CommentsWow, I’m behind. I blame it on being gone almost all weekend and planning for Henry’s birthday. So, now I’m catching […]
That last shot of him is perfection. It is such a joy (albeit a bittersweet one) to watch them grow and change from year to year. You can literally see them learning how to be in the world. Happy Birthday to little and mama Vampire.
Happy Birthday.
He is such an amazing kid!
