This has been the week of Sleep Deprivation. Every night this week, a different kid has woken me up at least once during the night. I’m exhausted.
Sept 23
My rock stars/heart smugglers.
Sept 24
Not everyone in the house is sleep deprived. Some of us sleep all afternoon and then stay up way too late.
Sept 25
18 Months Old (as of the 24th). Not an angel, but he sure is cute. And has me wrapped pretty tight around his slobbery little toddler finger.
Sept 26
This is the face of a boy who slept for 20 minutes in the car and thought that was good for the day. And the face of a mom that did not agree.
Sept 27
The Es and I went into town to run some errands and had Wendy’s for lunch. Aren’t they adorable with their straws? But, remember Sleep Deprivation? This was the second day in a row that they both slept in the car and refused a nap in the afternoon.
Sept 28
I got to help Ivy and the rest of the kindergarten class make apple crisp for Johnny Appleseed Day. I love getting to see her with the other kids, and the other kids are pretty cute, too.
Then, at 6:00 sharp, the big three went to grandma and grandpa’s house to spend the night. It was awesome to get to get ready for the run by myself, but I think it also contributed to the grumpiness. This guy, though, he got to go to supper at the pizza place with his mama and daddy, and stay up late.
Sept 29
The Fun Run that we participated in the morning was, well….fun. This is the after, with most of my dad’s finger cropped out, and an extra little photobomber.
Sorry about the sleep deprivation – sadly I am very familiar with this as my littlest is teething! (holy hell, I tell you)
Holy hell is right, Alison. I (foolishly) thought that once Erv started sleeping through the night, we'd be golden. And he does sleep through the night, most every night. It's the big three that get me. OY.
Busy, fun, tired, and beautiful – that's what I see in you here!
(Sorry about the sleep deprivation, girl! Ouch!)
OH I can't wait until they start having fun activities like that were parents can go too.
Sleep deprevation is my middle name.
And for one sleep deprived chick, you look gorgeous
Not of fan of the kids getting up in the middle of the night thing….. mine has been doing it for the past week or so and for no real reason that I can figure out!
Hope that some of the sweet sleep comes soon!
Ugh sleep deprivation is the worst. I hate car naps. I keep a pile of toys on the passanger seat of my car so that if I think he's going to fall asleep I can give him one and hope that it buys me enough time so that we can get home without him fall asleep.
I hear you on the sleep deprivation. My little one has been coming in to our room more often than not the past few days and I've been up way to late working on this and that!!! Ugh… Also, I'm actually happy mine has been at least napping in the car. She gets almost a solid hour when we go pick up the big kids from school.
