All of the girls in the family were invited to a tea party on Tuesday evening at my brother and sister-in-law’s house.
The requirements? Dress fancy and bring some finger foods.
My nieces and SIL worked hard on the decor and ambience of the event, and did a fabulous job of it.
We’ve been looking forward to this since we started talking about it at the very beginning of summer but only now had a date that worked for all of the ladies (one very good sport of a grandma, three sisters-in-law, six girls and one handsome little boy).
We took a lot of photos,
Drank tea and ate delicious finger foods,
Goofed off,
Gave each other manicures and pedicures,
And watched iCarly in the dark while the moms and grandma talked.
It was seriously a night full of memories and girly fun.
That IS fun! I love the idea of a tea party. Your dress is so pretty.
Oh, thanks, Alison! I got it from Target. And it was so much fun!
That looks like so much fun!!
It was fun! I hope we get to do it again!
What a GREAT idea.. and something that isn't done anymore! Love it!!
I love this! And you look so pretty and skinny.
My girls were invited to a tea party birthday party a couple years ago at a friend's house. Everyone wore fancy dresses and enjoyed their fancy tea time, and for a craft to take home, they each decorated a big brimmed hat with ribbons and flowers and feathers. It was very cute and fun!
Oh, thank you, Katie!
A tea party birthday party would be SO CUTE. I love the hat idea!
SO cute! I want a tea party! We could have one in my cottage…
We totally could. Do you have fine china in your cottage? I could bring the tea.
What a great and fun idea. My girls would be so in to attending or hosting a tea party. Greta, your girls are adorable 🙂
Oh, thank you, Bruna! It was so fun to get all dressed up. You should totally host one!
SO cute! I'm totally going to do this for my nieces sometime. They would really get into it.
I bet they would, it was a blast!
So fun! We had a tea party for Cami's 9th birthday. It was soooo cute!
Oh, awesome! I bet she loved it!
Oh, wow! Fancy! I love it. Looks like you guys had a great time.
We did! It was so fun to get dressed up and hoose big, fancy (fake) cocktail rings to wear. And finger foods are totally underrated!
Taking a break from Olympic trampoline critiquing to swing by. This looks WAY funner than what I was watching on TV.
Haha, wasn't that trampolining something else? But yes, the tea party was a blast!
That is too cool! I've always wanted to attend a tea party. What a fun memory for the kids. Will there be a repeat soon?
Oh, I hope so! The girls will be talking about it for a long time, that's for sure. I should make them a little photo book or something.
This is so darn adorable! Since I have all boys, I'm so making my sister do this with her daughter, and then inviting myself to the party. 😉
Now this is how you do a tea party. Looks like a blast!
How fun is this??? I will have to borrow one of my nieces for something like this.
Tea party and dinosaurs … just the very best!
