For the last week and a half, E. Belle and I have done a great deal of waiting outside for the bus. Erv is always taking a nap (or hanging out in his bed).
Ivy, up until now, has only gone half days in school, so she has gotten home at about 1:00, and Henry has gotten home at 4:00. It’s kind of a lot of waiting for the bus. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, though, and even when it was a little hot a couple of those days, the shade from the trees in the front yard makes it divine.
The sandbox has seen more action in the last ten days than it has in a year.
Of course, the combination of the shade, the pleasant weather, and my sleep deprivation from the early school mornings make it really hard to stay awake out there. I can’t complain, though.
I am glad that starting tomorrow, though, the big two will be riding the same bus home.
Linking up with Jess and Natalie for Essence of Now.
Oh the greeting and the joy!!
Also, sassy sunglasses.
She is a sassy, sassy girl. And she loves to see her big sister come home every day. Happy sighs.
Great pictures! Looks so relaxing – even though it is school.
I do get to relax…sometimes too much. Ha!
Essie is too fabulous for words. And the big two ON BUSES.
I KNOW. Buses. How did this happen?! Essie is fabulous, and knows it.
Oh, come on now! These photos are too much!
I love these moments you've captured. And I am sooooo hanging out for warmer weather here in Australia.
Your kids are stupid cute, you know that, right? Absolute dolls, the lot of them.
xxx
Thanks, Angie! I think they're pretty cute. They keep life interesting, that's for sure. I don't even know what season it is in Australia. I'm am AWFUL at geography. AWFUL.
Essie is so cute with her little sunglasses! And Ivy running off the bus is just about the best thing ever! Glad the big two will get to ride together this week.
ME TOO. It definitely makes the days easier. Essie has about 12 pairs of sunglasses, and she looks pretty stinking cute in all of them (if I do say so. Ha!).
I've never had to wait for a bus for the kids but it looks like something I could do if I had fancy heart glasses too.
Believe it or not, it's not so bad. But the sunglasses absolutely help.
They are too, too cute. I adore them. And those glasses? Awesome.
Good luck with the bus!
Thanks, Natalie! My only worry about the bus now is that they'll bicker and bother each other. I told them I'd have them separated. 🙂
Love the shot of the girls running toward each other. What a great capture. There is nothing in this world like a sister!!
Great pictures!! I'm excited to have school officially starting tomorrow – with a little time each day to be alone with both the big kids and the little kids.
