It’s Wednesday (I think), so I’m including a picture with this post. An unrelated one, yes, but a picture nonetheless.
This is Skeeter. He showed up at my brother’s house a few days ago, and instead of letting my brother eat him for (an unsatisfying) breakfast, we took him in. For the last 20 hours, he’s pretty much taken over our lives.
I’m writing this post in my (often unused) office because Skeeter Kitty was lonely and crying. I see this as a regular occurrence from now on. Ahem.
I mean….look at this. T. and Skeeter were in love after ten minutes. (Skeeter was cleaning T’s head, you guys. Like he was his mom.)
SWOON.
What was the point of this post? Oh yeah. This:
Jamie at Chosen Chaos is putting a team together to run (or walk!!) the miles from California to New York (virtually) in the next two months. Get the details here, because I know I’m not making sense (Essie and Skeeter are playing and totally distracting me. Ahem.)
Link up here to join us. I’m planning on walking at least 12 miles a week (3 miles, four days a week). I could be wrong, but I don’t believe you have to blog to join the team. Email Jamie (chosenchaos at gmail dot com) to find out, if you’re interested and don’t have a blog. I haven’t totally made up my mind yet. I’ll be donating a dollar for every mile I walk to the Jefferson County Humane Society (the current home of our other new kitten, Bellatrix Supergirl Meatball, who’ll be moving in next week!).
Kitten cuteness overload! I used to like cats, then I liked dogs but that one may be bring me back to the other side! I love that you're on my team!! And yes ANYONE can participate – I am always a more the merrier type of gal! Yay!!
He is a cutie!! I'm glad to be on your team, too! I know I won't be anywhere near the top miler-maker, but it'll push me to do as many as I can.
Oh my, I love kittens! I used to rescue them, then after a few weeks, find them new homes. Sadly, no time to do that anymore. Are you keeping this latest furball?
We are, Alison! My husband's quite attached. 🙂
We found our current kitty in the neighbors backyard a few years ago and we love her. I always thought of myself as more of a dog person… but seem to be taking more pics of Finn. Good luck with your walking… I'm giving it some thought.
That kitten is just too cute!!! I'll check out the walk/run for sure. I'd be a crazy animal lady that adopted every stray around if I could get away with it! (and if I could afford it!!!!)
Sounds like so very much goodness of he kitten and walking variety! Love!
Oh, the cuteness contained in just one kitty! It could power the world!!! If I wasn't allergic, I would be that crazy cat lady blog!
