This has been a very exciting week, picture-wise, at the Double F Ranch (that’s what my hubs calls our house, because our two last names start with F. And now you know). I got out my camera manual, learned how to change the settings, and went to town. It was liberating! An honestly, a super good feeling to take a picture in manual and not have it be all black or all white. YES!

This boy….he’s always so happy. Well, most of the time.

Erv is 25 months old and already a reader. It comes to him honestly. (Erp. I mean 13 months. Thanks, Mamamash!)

The girls “helped” me weed the garden. I took some pictures using Aperture Priority mode (to ease myself out of auto).

The next day, while Henry was at school, the other three and I went out back. They played while I took pictures in MANUAL mode. And they’re not all bad!

My awesome daughter in her awesome shirt (also taken in manual mode!).

There’s an awful lot of Erv this week. Whoops?

Today, my mom and I made dresses for myself and the girls. They turned out pretty well! We made three (one for each of us). There are still more that I want to make. They’re pretty easy and quick (longer than the 10 minutes the Pinterest link claimed, though).
You're doing so well. But, uh, Erv is totally not 25 months old. 😉
HAHAHA. Uh, whoops.
Dresses in 10 minutes? It takes me that long to unfold the pattern. I’m impressed. Good job with the photos.
We did three in two hours. Still not bad! Thanks, Jamie!
I do like the manually-taken shots, very nice!!
Thanks, Alison! It's a start, right?
Your manual shots look great! (as do the dresses)
Oh, thanks, Angela! The more I practice, the better I'll get (at both).
Lovely, full, and busy!
(Love that you're getting to know your new camera!!)
Thanks, Galit! I'm loving it, too. So much fun!
