This week has been busy, busy, busy. With a Spring Break full of rainy days, we’ve been stuck inside and preparing for Big Erv’s first birthday.
We’ve done LOTS of preparing.

I spent several long hours putting hundreds a pictures (from the last four years!!) in photo albums. After a while, Ivy starting looking at them, too, and wanted her own album. That is the ONLY reason I’m glad I got doubles of most of them. Her favorites? The ones from our wedding in 2008.

Tuesday was spent getting new bunk beds for the girls. This was their first night with them…you can see Henry on the left in his big bed, and you can almost make out both girls in their beds. Thank goodness it’s Spring Break, because they were too excited to sleep.

On Wednesday, we did another birthday party project. This one was inspired by Jamie‘s fantastic idea. The finished product is up on the wall and will be revealed soon!

Ervin does NOT like to be in his room or crib by himself. So, for the last few nights, I’ve sat in there with him until he’s gone to sleep. Thursday night, I sorted Skittles for the party while he watched and cried and finally went to sleep.

This is why we moved the big kids’ beds to one room. They were all playing together (separately) in the toy room (upstairs!) before breakfast. Even Erv was in there in his crib.
