I am a WRECK. In approximately 22 hours (who’s counting?), I’ll be on a plane, by myself, heading to the gigantic Opryland hotel in Nashville for Blissdom, my very first blogging conference.
Yesterday, I got the “print out your conference ticket!” email. This morning, I got the “check-in now for your flight!” email, both of which turned the butterflies in my stomach into winged demon creatures.
I’m so nervous, you guys. There are going to be 700 other bloggers there. What if I don’t recognize people I’ve been talking to online? What if they don’t like me as much in person? What if I get lost in the hotel and never find my way out?
I’m also really excited, though. Three (and a half) days in a fabulous hotel, surrounded by lovely women, drinking cocktails and learning so much about blogging and social media and photography. All without a single poopy diaper or empty sippy cup.
I have so much left to do today, but I have gotten some very important things checked off my list.
I got my nails done yesterday. They are fabulous and oh-so-hot-pink.
I made a strap cover for my camera last night (with my mom’s help and her non-PMSy sewing machine). Because, come on. The yellow and black Nikon strap just isn’t cute.
And I got three outfits put together (complete with jewelry). I only have one more to choose (plus maybe an alternate in case one pulls a muscle or something).
Wish me luck, you guys. And keep your fingers crossed that there are plenty of hotel employees willing to turn my by the shoulders and point me in the right direction.
