A couple of weeks ago, I went to my first ever blogger event at Sweet! Baking Supply (717 Massachuetts, Lawrence, KS).


Seriously, you guys. If you live in the area and even just LIKE to go in the kitchen, you have to check it out. Just like the website, the store is GORGEOUS. And so full of baking joy.


Anyway, It was so much fun, and we got the HUGE pleasure of Skyping with Bridget of Bake At 350. If you haven’t seen her blog, run! Go immediately. She is self-taught at cookie decorating, and makes the most incredible creations, like these:

Also, she’s as sweet as can be and just plain adorable.

We learned techniques like flooding and piping, and got recipes for the cookies themselves and the icing.

Oh my gosh, those were good cookies. Maybe someday I’ll be ambitious and make some at home…


Mine didn’t end up looking anything like Bridget’s, but it was a lot of fun regardless.
