The first half of this week, I had the stomach flu. OnTuesday, I was stuck in the house, feeling like crap and bummed that I couldn’tgo have tea with Julie like we had planned.
So…E. Belle and I did some crafts.
We got out the ol’ hot glue gun and a big box of buttons andspent some time while the other two were at school.
We actually finished two gifts as well (all ideas fromPinterest), so that’s what you’ll be seeing for my 52 Weeks of PinterestChallenge for the next couple of weeks.
Up first is this fabulous button pumpkin. This was a framed picture of a pumpkin, but I thought I’d use the idea to decorate an actual pumpkin instead. I kind of reallylove these because they’ll last a lot longer than carved pumpkins, and they’rea little bit unexpected.
I just scribbled on a design and started filling it in.
I put the eyes on first, and made them a little kooky.Because really, isn’t that what Halloween’s about?
I’m totally not a perfectionist, so I didn’t bother tryingto cover up the Sharpie marks.
I think it turned out cute, though. And the big two werepretty darn excited to see it when they got home.
