I was SO excited when I received this package in the mail:
The folks at Mabel’s Labels were kind enough to send me two Ultimate Back to School Combo Packs to try, one for Henry and one for Ivy.
They are ADORABLE! Of course, I chose the skull design for Henry (what else??) and I got the cupcake design for Ivy, to go with her new backpack.
The combo pack is awesome. It comes with two water-proof, UV resistant Teeny Tags that can hang on a backpack, jacket, lunch box or whatever. They’re really durable, so it doesn’t matter if they get wet, or tugged on, and they’re easy to see, so someone looking for a name can find it quickly.
It also comes with a sheet of Skinny Mini labels for things like pencils, pencil cases, lunch containers, etc. I bought Henry a couple of Thermos containers for school, and they’re not cheap! The last thing I want is for him to forget to put them back in his lunch box and never see them again. I immediately stuck one on each container, and even ran them through the dishwasher, just to test the labels. They didn’t peel, or fade, or even look like they’d gone through the cycle.
There’s also a sheet of Tag Mates, which are washer and dryer safe. You just peel and stick! They’re great for gym clothes, or a spare outfit that stays at school, or sweatshirts. Last year, there were a couple of days where cool mornings that turned into warm afternoons, and somehow, Henry didn’t make it home with his sweatshirt. This year, if he does that, it’ll find it’s way back to him.
The last sheet in the pack is full of Shoe Labels. I also tested these right away…they’re circular labels that stick on the inside of shoes. I put one in each of Ivy’s ballet shoes, and they didn’t budge during her class. Henry has worn his shoes with the labels in them for days, and they haven’t moved or peeled either.
Even if you don’t have a school-aged child, these labels can go anywhere! Label your diaper bag, office organizers, whatever.
