…no more jelly on the belly. Okay, maybe they’ll be some jelly on the belly next week in the hospital, but not in the doctor’s office. Sigh of relief. Unless something happens between now and then (knock on wood), I won’t see my doctor again for SEVEN days when she delivers Baby Bean. Seven days until we have we have four kids under 6. Scared? A little. Ready to not be pregnant anymore? YES.
So anyway, the girls went with me today, and we actually didn’t have to go to the grocery store or anything because I had already been to town three times in the last week. No errands to run! It was a miracle, you guys! So, I decided we would go have lunch in a restaurant before my LAST prenatal appointment. Which was good. Except I forgot to keep E. Belle’s shoes in my hand long enough to get them into the car, and she was barefoot the whole time. I had to carry all 27 pounds of her into the restaurant, then I couldn’t pee because I couldn’t put her down in the bathroom. Which, by the way, is where Ivy got on the toilet and proceeded to PEE ALL OVER her underwear. The only pair we had in our possession. Thankfully, she had an extra pair of sweatpants in the car that she put on under her skirt. And also a long-sleeved Halloween shirt that she put on. Because she could. It was 70 degrees out today, FYI. She didn’t keep it on through the whole appointment.
But it was all good. We had a molten chocolate cake thing for dessert and only had to spend about 10 minutes in the doctor’s office. Where I found out that I had gained back the two(three)pounds that I had lost. I’m blaming it on the chocolate cake and the fact that I couldn’t pee more than once beforehand. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
OK, you said other fabulous things, but . . . YOU ARE ABOUT TO HAVE FOUR KIDS ALL UNDER THE AGE OF SIX?Oh my god.Really? That is awesome and terrifying news, and I am not even the one who will have to do it!Yikes!
I know…we're nuts! But if we survive the first couple years with all four, I think it'll be good that they're all so close in age. *fingers crossed*
