Megan over at It’s a Darn Good Life awarded me and 14 others with a Stylish Blogger Award. Thanks, Megan! I always enjoy reading her blog, and seeing her pictures. I wish we lived closer to her so she could always take our family/milestone pictures, like the ones she took last October!
These were the rules for the award:
• Link back to me as the person who gave you the award.
• Share 7 statements about yourself.
• Award 15 bloggers.
So, seven things about myself…
1. I still have lots to do on my to-do-before-Bean-is-born list, but I wouldn’t mind not being pregnant anymore! I feel like a whale!
2. Every morning (these days), Henry comes into our room while I’m sleeping/laying in bed and plays Angry Birds on my phone while I keep dozing for a while.
3. I’ve recently had to give up my personal movie watching time in the afternoon because my three-year-old no longer takes a nap. The two movies I have from Netflix right now, I’ve had for a month or two….not very economical.
4. It really ticks me off when people treat me like I’m the June Cleaver of our household. We’ve recently bought a new (used) car, and are in the process of getting a mortgage to officially buy the house we’re living in from my parents. Both men we’ve/we’re dealing with have talked to T. like I’m not even there. Who do they think makes sure all the bills are paid, takes care of the house, chauffeurs the kids around, etc etc etc??
5. I love to get out of the house once in a while and pamper myself with hair or nail appointments. I plan, on March 23 (the day before Bean is scheduled to arrive), to have such an appointment.
6. I still insist on calling my 19-month-old “baby”. But it’s getting harder…every time I say it, she thinks I’m talking about her “baby”, her bear. And also, she answers my questions now (me: “do you want some milk?” her: “yeah”), which makes it difficult to not think of her as a big girl.
7. I’m scared to death of those first few weeks as a mother of four. Newborns are hard, especially with other kids and not much adult help around the house.
And here is a list of 15 blogs that I enjoy (in no particular order). Some of them have no idea who I am or that I exist, but that’s okay. The interweb is a big, big place, and I can still mention them anyway. So check them out when you’re needing some humor, inspiration, tips on how to save money, or something to relate to!

hey! thanks! Quin is not napping consistently anymore either–so we have implemented QUIET TIME in which I give her a stack of books. Once she's looked through them–sometimes she falls asleep. If she doesn't, I allow her to get out of her bed and play quietly in her room. The rules being she can't come out of the room. Well, sometimes if she has to go potty or something, but otherwise it's working well. She goes to bed tired that way, and I'd rather have that than her up until 10 or later! This way we still get some "alone" time, which I really need in the day and she learns to be independent for a bit too, and I think that's good as well. Tell Ivy Quiet time is THE THING to do. Quin and her mommy highly recommend it!
Thanks Greta for the link!! You will be a great mommy of 4! I have faith you CAN do it! Those little nuggets are blessed to have you!
