Okay, so I still have a couple of posts to write, one of which is about our family trip to Worlds of Fun this past weekend. But, as I told you yesterday, Ivy gave up the binky on Monday night. She didn’t take a nap today, and T. had to go out of town, so it was all me for getting the kids to bed. She did not take it well. She has just been so tired and crying about every little thing since supper time, so I am a little on edge. That is why I’m doing an easy, quick post tonight and watching last week’s Grey’s Anatomy.

I got some more fall decorating done and took some better pictures. We don’t have many guests out here, so I feel the need to share everything with you and hope someone else enjoys it besides me and the fam.

Here’s the garland again. I still have lots of ribbon and fabric left over, so if I can find the time and energy, I’ll probably make another one.

I had gotten a few mini gourds and pumpkins at Dillons, and laid them on top of a couple of pieces of that fabulous glitter tulle that got from Hobby Lobby. Like I said before, everything is up high because the kids love all this stuff and have grabby little hands.

I found a lot of fun decor at Target, most of which came from the Dollar Spot section ($2.50 for the baskets and bucket below, vine pumpkins and a tall luminary vase, plus a dollar for sets of two Halloween hand towels and kitchen towels).

This is the bathroom…I used one of the Target baskets and filled it with some yummy autumn-y smelling potpourri and a few pinecones, and put the Halloween towels there for a fun touch.

This shelf is kind of a catch-all for diapers, wipes, socks, etc, but I wanted to clean it up some so it could be pretty for once. I used the other Target basket (on the top of the shelf) to put socks in. The arrangement on the other side of the frame is actually from my mother-in-law, who helps out a flower shop and did these for an autumn wedding last year. Then I used some little sparkle pumpkins, gourds and leaves, flowers, and berry stems from WalMart,  and the vine pumpkin and bucket from Target to dress up the lower shelf. Again, all up high where the kids can’t reach. I think the bucket and baskets will be perfect for ornaments or other Christmas decor in a couple of months.

This is the catch-all counter in the kitchen. I don’t know how well you can see it, but I got a ceramic leaf dish that I used to put all of my various vitamin and pill bottles in (previously just standing in a group behind the Dora radio),  I also found the cute fabric pumpkin and dish at the Dollar Spot in Target. A couple of faux pumpkins from WalMart add some festivity to the layout.

And lastly, this is what I have on the outside so far. I got some bigger pumpkins from a garden center about 10 miles from home and just set them out. It’s not much, but the color looks great from far away (and Henry loves them). I got a mum plant from Dillons in a gorgeous orangey-yellow color for the bench on the porch and put a couple of pumpkins next to it.

I got a cute sign on sale at Hobby Lobby to hang on the pole…it says “Fall Welcome” and has a scarecrow on it. Ivy picked it out of several designs. Can you see the two half pumpkins hanging from the porch ceiling? Those were from a cute bird feeder craft we did at Mom’s Group today. We cut a pumpkin in half, stuck some twigs in the outside for birds to sit on, hung them with twine and filled them with bird seed. It was easy and combines two of the kids’ loves–pumpkins and bird feeders.

Well, I think I’ve relaxed some since my middle child had a breakdown and drove herself into a deep sleep. Now, I’m going to enjoy some of my new addiction. It combines my previous pregnancy addiction of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with the new pregnancy addiction–Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights cookies. Yum. Warm pumpkin cookies and cold vanilla ice cream. YUM.
