This is the view outside of our front window. Everything looks so lush and green, doesn’t it? That’s because it’s been raining NONSTOP since we woke up at 7:30 this morning. And it’s one of those rare days that, not only has it been raining all day, but it’s been thundering, too. Do anyone else’s kids get freaked out by thunder? Baby doesn’t, but the big two sure do.
It looks like it might be letting up a little…now that we’ve already waited outside for the bus twice today with our umbrellas (or rather, Henry and I did once, and then I did again).
This is Henry now. Of course, he stripped off his clothes as soon as he walked in the door, but he was cold, so he had to snuggle up in his Thomas blanket.
My mom made him that blanket when he was a baby, I think, or at least, not older than two. He doesn’t even really like Thomas the train anymore, but he sure does love his blanket. Guess it runs in his genes.
The problem with rainy days is, living out here, with satellite internet, we have no internet if it’s the least bit cloudy. The good thing about it, though, is without the internet, I take really good naps.
We had mom’s group this morning. It was fun (and there was really good food—biscuits and gravy and fresh fruit. I’ve been wanting biscuits and gravy for a few days now)! Even in the rain, there were lots of moms there today, including some new ones. Hi, Nikki! I’m glad you came!
One last thing that I just heard from the bathroom…Henry is in there going potty, and Ivy just came down from her nap and went in there. Henry starts talking about his favorite show, Olivia, and I suppose other things. Ivy says “can you stop talking? My going to talk first.” He said “okay”, and then I thought maybe she wouldn’t actually have anything to say, but she sure did. Something about when it gets dark…
