Teething Stinks. Whose idea was it to make molars big and flat, anyway? And painfully slow to come in? Baby has been miserable for about a week now, and she has (I believe) one and a half one-year molars so far. I actually thought to myself yesterday, “is colic only for newborns?”. She has just been crying SO MUCH. Last night she woke up at 11:00 pm and 5:30 am. Inconsolable. She finally settles down after 20 minutes or so. And I feel like a bad mom because I don’t want to get up and try to help her, because I know I probably won’t be able to.
This was last night after she wore herself out crying (the first time).
Thank goodness Ivy is a heavy sleeper. Seriously, she sleeps through all of Baby’s fits and generally wakes up happy.
She was jumping on the bed as soon as she woke up and prancing around like she had the best sleep ever. Yes, I was jealous. And groggy. And cranky.
I hope this teething doesn’t last much longer and we get a nice long break before the two-year molars rear their ugly heads.
Here’s a picture of Henry this morning as well. It really doesn’t have anything to do with Baby and her teeth, but I was just so proud of him. He sat down, all by himself, and wrote three letters. For the first time, ever. My boy is growing up.
On a whole other note, I’ve changed the look of my blog a couple of times today, trying to find something that suits it and me. I don’t know…it’s still a work in progress. I don’t know how to do certain things that would make it look even better, like changing the look of the title or adding more pictures across the top. Anyone that has suggestions, feel free to pass them on! Also, if you like my blog, please “follow” me or pass it along to your friends. Thanks!!
