I know I haven’t kept up with my daily posting this week, and today may not be the best day to write a post, but I can’t put it off again.

This hasn’t been the greatest day so far. I go to a Mom’s Group/Storytime every Wednesday, but didn’t today. I didn’t get any sleep last night and woke up in a very foul mood, so I didn’t really want to drag myself out of bed just to growl at the other moms for an hour. You’re welcome, other moms. Part of the reason I was in such a foul mood when I woke up was last night:

The plan was to go to my show, about 15 minutes away, have a great jewelry show, and then come home and watch my very favorite show’s Season Premiere that had been recorded by the DVR. I even said, at my show (which was great), that DVRs are the greatest invention of our time and that I didn’t know what we did before them. I don’t get THAT excited about tv shows usually. Yes, I love tv and there are several shows that I watch religiously and look forward to. But this one, I was bubbling with excitement about watching since last week when they announced the season premiere would be yesterday, and generally waiting with anticipation since the season finale several months ago. Okay, fine…it’s Glee.

Anyway, so I get home from my show and I have to tie up a few loose ends on my computer (another reason that I was in a foul mood that I won’t get into) and went into the living room. The remote has disappeared. Gone. We still haven’t found it. After a few minutes of searching for it, I use the buttons on the front of our directv box to get to our list where recorded shows are. The most recent recording was from 2:00 pm. Still searching for the remote, but now hanging on to hope that somehow my show is there and once I find the remote I’ll be able to find it, too.

I didn’t. T. brought me the remote from upstairs and I used that to search. I still don’t know why it didn’t record anything all evening. But I was crushed. Still am. I know it sounds dramatic to say that about a tv show, but have you ever been so eagerly awaiting something just to have it Not. Happen. At. All.?

If we lived anywhere else, I could download it on my computer and watch it now. But we don’t. Again, I won’t get into that. Foul mood and all. My dear, knight in shining armor, though, is downloading it at work today so I can watch it when he gets home. Thanks, babe. Love you.

Various things happened this morning to not put me in a better mood, so I’m just going to wrap it up and take a nap. Maybe I’ll wake up happier. I’ll at least be less tired (barring any interference from the girls).

Oh, but one good thing has happened today: I got E. Belle’s and my “mommy and me” Halloween costumes in the mail. I’m not going to ruin the surprise just yet, but just know that they are super cute, and they came from this gal’s facebook page. SUPER CUTE. I’m excited for us to wear them. And show you the pictures.

Now it’s nap time.
