For this week’s prompt, “Stripes,” I wanted to challenge myself. I haven’t taken any self-portraits in a while (none this year, I think) with my real camera. My husband found the remote thing that plugs into the top of the camera so I had a plan to use it with the remote, since I have a million articles of clothing with stripes on them (that’s a slight exaggeration).
And then I couldn’t find the actual remote. So. This was even more challenging, since I had to just use the timer. Anyway. Here’s what I came up with (I played with Lightroom editing some, too).
What do you think? (I’m totally and completely self-conscious about them)
Through The Lens Thursday is a self-improvement photography project that Alison of Writing, Wishing and I are doing this year.
Don’t forget to join our Flickr group or share your own posts if you’d like to follow along and work on your own photography! And use the hashtag #throughthelensthursday to connect with others working on it, too.
Next week’s prompt is SHINE.
OH see yeah I don't do selfies either for the same reason. I will pick them apart and complain about this or that. But I love the top one and the bottom one out of all of them.. you skinny thing you… Beautiful in all.
Oh, thank you. Yeah…not my favorite thing to do!
They are all great, but the bottom one is a beauty. There is nothing like the pressure to get a nice photo that you like when you are the subject.
Thank you, Clare! Yes…not only do you want to take a good photo, but you want one that you LIKE, too. Lots of pressure.
I think you did great! As in, the shots are awesome, and you are beautiful. Love your take on the prompt.
Thank you, A! It was kinda nerve-wracking.
