As long as I’ve been driving, I’ve had hand-me-down cars, used cars, always close to ten year old cars.
But. Today, with the help of a car-dealership-working father in law and because of the slow demise of the family-car-that-seats-all-six-and-all-of-our-stuff, we upgraded. Today, for the first time ever, we bought a car that is almost new. With bells, and with whistles. And I’m in love.
We all are.

Wow – awesome! Great colour, too 🙂 Love your pictures!
We just did the same thing in January and got an almost brandnew truck with all the bells and whistles – a nice feeling, right?
How exciting! (I, too, have never had a brand new car. So I can just imagine how wonderful this is for you. Truly.)
Ooh, nice shots! And super nice car! #envious
Oh awesome pictures — because I swear I can detect that new car smell!!
shiny and new – you captured it all so well. I have this dream a lot too every time I step in our van and hear the crunch of the goldfish layered carpet.
those things really get ground in there – like turbo shop vac power can't even get them out!
Enjoy the new ride!
Yay new car!! When I got mine two summers ago I was instantly in love. I still have yet to get a BRAND new car, so I can only guess as to how giddy you are! Yay!
I like the photo in the mirror! Enjoy your new wheels.
Congrats on the new car!! FLOOR IT! But only to 5 mph over speed limit. Gotta watch out for the kids. Ha!
Congrats on the new ride! We are adding another baby this summer so my small SUV will no longer suit our soon to be family of 5 so we will also be looking for something newer and bigger!
Woo hoo. It does make such a difference. I'm driving a car that was my Dad's till he passed away. I love it because it's paid for and of course reminds me of him. But there is nothing like a new ride. Enjoy it Greta.
[…] got a new car! And it’s […]
[…] Mother’s Day (before we decided to get a new car), I asked for a 35mm lens for my camera, so that’s what I used for the garden […]
I'm so jealous – congratulations! I desperately want a new car (or closer to new than 11 years old). I'm hoping for some time in the next year and know my kids would be as happy as yours seem to be 🙂
A new car is something to document for sure! I love the color of your new wheels. 🙂
Me too! I've always gotten stuck with boring colors, so I'm glad this one isn't. 🙂
